(99.8%) Glycerin Refined
Clear, colorless, odorless, viscous, hygroscopic liquid with a sweet taste, about 0.6 times that of sucrose. Soluble in ethanol, in water, while it is practically insoluble in oils.
Suitable for use in: Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic & Food.
PRECAUTIONS
It is kept in tightly closed container.
Glycerin is hygroscopic.
- Pure Glycerin is not susceptible to oxidation by the atmosphere under normal storage conditions, but decomposes on heating with the development of toxic acrolein.
- Glycerin mixtures with water, ethanol (95%), and propylene glycol are chemically stable.
- Glycerin may crystallize if stored at low temperatures.
- The crystals they do not melt until heated to 20 °C.
